Hello all!
Remember the short lived, monthly GROOVY WEDNESDAYS edition back in 2009-2010 at the now-defunct BLACKHOLE212?
Well, guess what, GROOVY WEDNESDAYS is back!
This time at a new venue and you can say at a newly timed edition!
Back then it was only once a month, now to celebrate its revival we hope to have GROOVY WEDNESDAYS for as many times as we can in the month of April 2014!
Will it go beyond the month? Definitely! Think of April 2014 as GROOVY WEDNESDAYS Revival Month, if you may
So lets go down to the details!
We're looking for as many bands as we can for April 2014!
The available dates are 2, 9, 23 and 30 April; the last date very possibly being a grande event as it falls on the eve of a public holiday!
Conditions
So if you have a band and are interested to just have a stage to play do respond ASAP with
- your band name
- web link if possible, even a Youtube link would be fine
- an actual physical demo would be great, because bands these days are *ahem* lazy about that stuff
- your preferred date (2, 9, 23 or 30 April), feel free to give a range of more than one date!
- a contact number / email from within the band
Disclaimer : whilst we welcome as many bands as possible please also note that if the response exceeds expectations (we really hope!) then we have to do a first-come-first-serve thingie....

Conditions
- All genres are welcome!
- We dont do auditions, because we dont believe in them. Having said that, to paraphrase a local host; "Applause is a privilege, not a right"! Have fun and rock (or groove) out!
- You do NOT need to sell tickets. No dodgy scams here whatsoever, just genuine no-frills rock and roll.
- However, you are encouraged to tell friends to drop by. We can promote this event as much as we can but you got to help us, we aren't that fantastic you know...
- This is a showcase where all the takings come solely from ticket sales/door entry fees. After offsetting venue costs, we hope to give bands performing a small token. However this solely depends on the crowd volume that attends. A good crowd generally for GROOVY WEDNESDAYS will be 80 paying people or more.
- If we have a low crowd count, we cannot guarantee payment (sorry!) however the soft drinks are on us
- So it really is another form of crowd-funding, if you think about it. Just wayyyy more ethical and transparent.
- We need a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 bands per show date, otherwise the show for that date is OFF.
- All shows will be on Wednesdays (duh) and begin 730pm earliest and will wrap by 11pm latest.
- Venue - PINK NOIZE, a new livehouse in town!
