got problem with bass pls help

Is it every fret that has this problem? Eg: happens on every fret?
Is it on a certain string: E,A,D.G?
What do you mean when you lift it?

Here's a few check list u might find useful.......

1) is ur bridge too low?
2) is the intonation out?
3) is the neck curved liao?
4) is the action too low?

these r a few problems i've encounted be4.........

maybe can help u..........

Send it in for neck repairs, bass neck a bit more tricky if it's spoilt. This is because it's longer and endure more tension due to the type of strings used than lets say a normal 6 string guitar.

I have seen more bass neck beyond repair than guitar neck. If that's case, better to get a new bass.

I reccomend you send it to guitar connection, (opposite davis guitar)

hey sorry i dun mean to hijack this thread but mike, what about buzzing pickups? i have a p/j bass and the p pickups sound ok but the j pickup gives a buzzing noise when the tone knob is turned to full

open up ur scratchplate or if u have rear routed controls, open the back plate. the things where ur tone knobs should be are your pots. spray em clean.

no problem

the scratchplate is also known as the pickguard. it's the plastic thingy that is on the guitar body. if u do not have one, your controls must be rear routed. look to the back and unscrew the back plate. inside u'll see lots of wires and stuff. on where your tone knob is is your pot. spray it.

=p
