Zombie Rock Bar is no longer. The rock-music-playing death-metal-streaming pub at orchard towers has changed its concept many months ago, but last week the final nail sank that zombie back 6 feet under. The various local bands that have been glazing its stage didn't help much, with the once popular Reggae night also seeing little patronage in the past 3 weeks.
Starting 1st June Zombie has been renamed Zodiac, with a completely new Filipino band playing called Ice Kendi.
Here comes the irony...
On the 1st day that Ice Kendi went on stage, i heard for the first time in a very very very long while... that same pub playing Linkin Park and Evanescence. Ice Kendi is one multiflexible band that does some really awesome shit, very similar to the band that used to play at Insomnia.
Plus the crowds are coming back... and so are the girls...
Go take a listen this weekend and dedicate to the band some Rock stuff (no maiden or slipknot please) and you'll see what i mean.
