Good Guitar Service Shop

Try Mike at Standard Value or Malcolm aka empty71 at mtlutherie. I'm not sure if Beez does refretting but if he does, BEEZ!

Talk to Malcolm... He'll recommened what you need. I talked with him before. Great guy. Thought i needed refretting. In the end it was a fret dress. Cheaper.

If its a simple refret, Mike and KC (Maestro) should be alright.

Malcolm is a good choice if you are super anal about details. But going to see him for a standard refret is like going to a brain surgeon for a headache. The headache may turn out to be a simple headache which could have been treated by your local doctor. And be prepared to pay more for his work.

A refret is "simple"? Ever seen butchered guitars because of "simple" refrets?

No. A refret is major stuff. If improperly done, you can damage a guitar, or end up with overly filed frets (meaning, you lose fret life).

Oh, and I've had work done by Malcolm before. I disagree with your analogy.

A re-fret is more than just yanking out the stock frets, sanding the fretboard and installing the new frets. It takes experience to read the neck, prep the fretboard so fret dressing is minimal and even the setup with the new frets plays a huge part.

As Jumpin'Jellybean has posted, I'm a straight shooter and will always give the correct and professional diagnosis ;)

I'm not cheap and I stand behind my immaculate work :)

No problem. You can disagree with my analogy and thats your perogative and entitlement.

But I stand by my opinion. It may not be popular with you, or perhaps even the crowd here, but its nevertheless a point of view from another perspective.
