Subject: Local Music Store May Go Out of Business Due to Ivan Flooding

From this morning's paper on a music store that's been around since the 60's in Pittsburgh and was heavily damaged in the flooding here:

Gary Hollowood, one of three brothers who operate Hollowood Music, said the family business, which employees 20 people, was reeling for years following the 1996 flood.

"It tooks us years to recover from the last flood and we barely made it
through," Hollowood said. "You can only withstand so much of this."

Hollowood said the business had no flood insurance, but even if it had, the
store's contents would not have been covered. More than 1,000 new and used guitars were lost in the flood along with four trucks, Hollowood said.

"We're doing a little bit of business. But we're losing money every day," said
Hollowood, who lost two days of cleanup time after a gas leak in McKees Rocks forced business owners from their stores.

Hollowood said his family is committed to restarting the business, but cannot take on new loans.

"I can't use a loan. I really can't. I'm paying back loans now," Hollowood said."We're from the Rocks, we've invested in the Rocks, but we need help now."
