wondering where do u old timers go for your first gigs and stuff?

haha ok. we're like a bunch of friends who just came together to jam.. but next year we may want to like go for gigs and all that.. wondering how it can be organized?

You can start by watching how we do it. That's how some recent gig org did. Come on down to Singapore Expo if you are free during the gigs and catch me there.

hey i have a suggestion. Why dont some organizers come up with this First Gig thing.To allow bands to have their first ever gig.the whole gig will consist of bands really performing for the first time.That will be interesting eh. morever,it will put the pressure off first time performers since everyone will be really gigging for the first time.

Try LionCityDIY... they do quite a few hardcore/ fastcore gigs...

Well, first timers will not find the atmosphere intimidating at SE. It will be quite relax and easy going. If bands want to have a post mortem on their performance, we can organize it as well.

oh I forgot to mention... bands like Fatskunks and Bathroom Acoustics had their first gig at HRS. Now Fatskunks is super band.

I'd say that it'll be easier for you to prepare the full works of 1) press kit 2) demo and 3) tech rider to pass to any gig organisers. Hang out at gigs more often and arrange to meet up with these organisers and pass them the material. Yes, it will cost the band a bit but it will open doors.

I tink there is a first timers gig.. U must be a regular jammers at lee kwong seng music studios.. They organise it every year at the end of the year.. Just look out for the forms.. My band did want to perform in the first timers gig but couldnt make it due to my guitarist serving N.S.. Haiz.. Well U should ask Keith the owner of lee kwong seng studios about the gig slot..
