ok, let's compare, from head to toe:
Design-wise, this doesn't vary too much from the original Les Paul design. Hey, it's a Les Paul.
I'm attracted to this beauty. 8O
1) A little graphics at the headstock, the red color "LTD" brought a good contrast to the all-black-feel.
2) 12th fret marking, kind of cool, I usually won't "get lost" over the fretboard with such help on it.
3) String-thru-body, wow, how cool, think about the sustain you get. 8)
4) 1 vol. 1 tone, as compared to 2 vol. 2 tone, talk about simplicity in controls (same theory why Paul Gilbert likes his 1 vol. knob design on his signature Ibanez).
5) Pickup selector switch, IMO, it's better to be placed at the bottom, that's easier for switching.
6) Plus, all 3 items (vol. tone, selector) rest nicely in the curved-top.
Then again, all IMO.
I was glad suspend_thought brought this model to our attention.
