is zoom GFX-8 a good start for starters into mutli effects?
i saw someone selling it. so check if its a good thing to start off. i'll buy it..

give me some enlightenment.

i wouldnt reccomend zoom though, i dont know, just my opinion. i feel the effects arent quite up to standard (i might get flamed). but why not try the korg toneworks?

Have used the GFX-8 for 5 years before I upgraded to the new G9.2tt.

IMO is a gd multi-effect overall, u can get decent tones out of it and its very gig-worthy with its metal casing and all. I did a few recordings out of it and also used it for alot of gigs.

The cons I would say is that if u r really into high-gain, max distortion only drive then it doesn't deliver that great. Also the Wah's sweep is not as much as u would get from a 535Q.

But all in all its a value for money multi-efx, however its all up to u as tone is very subjective.

However a plus thing is that its MIJ, hehz...

if it's within your mean$, do get the GT-8.

for starters, something 'basic' is recommended. after the initial use then you'll know the kind of FX/ voicings that are more useful for you. this would then prepare you for your upgrade. as for me, after trying a multi-FX unit, i find that i don't need certain modulation/ reverberation modules so i choose to get individual pedals instead. but these days, i'm pedal free 8)

anyway, Digitech's RP100 is a very decent initiator.

IMO, the GFX8 is decent for a starter. but u might want to get a good drive pedal to boost the onboard distortion. or alternatively, u might want to try the Korg AX1500G, or the later reincarnation, the Korg AX3000G. both are very decent for their pricing, easy to tweak as well and their modulation efx are very decent sounding. :)

uh... so which means yes or no?

my budget maybe around 200 plus looking for a second hand one..
a device which i can tweak around with.

i've been using direct amp and multi-effects into my life?

Show me some LOVE...
