getting a drumset

deadstar101, have you done any research? which are some of the drumset that you have shortlisted?

why does every person who wants to buy a drumset say pearl or tama. i made a cymbal buying guide now's someone else's turn to make a 'drumset buying guide' thread

Nope, EZI has no shop front for now. You can try out the kit for yourself at The Music Lab. Its located at Paradiz Centre #B1-11. I can do a demo for you too if you want.

PM me if you need my number.

Cheers!

zildjian is a cymbal brand not drum brand....
but anyways i think its good for u to use the cash at a sweelee 50% sale to get at least a pearl export

they only have their half kits in the test room at the back in plaza sing.
they don't let you try the rest right?
ITS ON A SHELF...

If you have a budget of 1-2k, the best is to get a maple or birch shell drumsets. It's more affordable now. You can check out popular brands like Pearl, Tama, PDP, Gretcsh as they comes with good hardwares. Other brands like Peace also have maple set which is affordable too.
My personal advise is to go see and test the kit that you're buying, don't just listen to ppl cos usually ppl will swear by certain brands that they like or using. So the main thing is, you should be happy with the stuff you're buying as it's quite an investment.
