Genre check and artist recommendation

Hi all,

Just wanna check with you guys what kinda genre exactly playing.

For the third video, fast forward to about 4:00 where he actually starts playing. I know that hes not exactly super pro and stuff, but I like his playing and the style. May I know what genre this is? I personally like blues, and can tell there is some blues element in his playing, but there seems to be some jazzy tune to it? Hope to clear this up.

And do you guys have any recommendations on artists who play like that? Whether it be just guitar solo, or with vocals, male female, doesn't really matter.

its very metal, i suggest ur band play death metal or black metal. melodic death metal perhaps?

Or bluesy jazz heh.

Listen to Tommy Emmanuel, Chet Atkins, Kenny Burrell, Jim Hall, Martin Taylor, even Joe Pass.

For a more pure blues stance, try B.B King when he's doing a more pop arrangement like Sweet Little Angel. Robben Ford and Larry Carlton are possible spins for a more technicolour guitar based blues/jazz. Jimmy Thackery for more jumped up stuff.

For modern stuff, John Mayer is very capable when left on his own not playing hits. Chris Bergson from NYC is another Killer.

sounds like straight ahead blues to me. i dont hear any jazz elements in it.
