Hmm.
Just curious (and this is directed to acoustic gurus *maybe repair guys too*) just wondering why is it that the wood chosen for acoustic tops are MAINLY spruce and cedar.
I'm just curious because the other parts of the guitar are made of other materials such as rosewood, mahogany (yes I know Timothy guitars makes mahogany tops) Ovankol etc.
For example: why are there no rosewood top acoustics?
is cost the main factor perhaps? Kindly share if you have any inkling, thanks
