Also known as the Dragonforce of Japan. Best known for the guy who started the band, Syu.

I was quite amazed to see that almost no one here talks about Syu/Galneryus, when, in my circle of Poly friends who play the guitar, *everyone* knows about them. I first got to know about Galneryus only in 2008 (really really belated) 'cos I heard their song "Cause Disarray" and fell in love with the style. Eversince then, I had been listening to the entire discography of the band.

With Syu, in every song he does, you can almost feel/hear the techniques even if you've never quite accustomed yourself to listening to the guitar in a song. He had also been in a few other bands before, and my next best band of his that I liked was Animetal, best known for their song "Towa no Mirai", used as the ending song for a Rurouni Kenshin movie.

Strangely enough, no matter how much I dived through the internet, there is no information on how old Syu is. He looks pretty young, but he has been such a well-known musician for about a decade! He can't be *that* young, unless he was a teenage genius.

So anyway, enough of my monologue; anyone here at SOFT shares the same interest in this band (and the guy) as I do?

Sup aiest, I'm pretty 'in' to the works of Syu too! ;) Galneryus, Aushvitz, SPINALCORD. Bloody good guitarist that guy, albeit very technical.

Galneryus >>> Dragonforce btw :/ I don't like to compare the two.

That's great, guys! I'm not on my own here, afterall ^^

But about the S$70 import, that *is* the usual price of imported CDs, even if you buy off the shelves at HMV. But from experience, I've *never* regretted buying imported Japanese DVDs/VCDs. It's worth the price if you really like the songs and artiste.

Silent Revelation is really a hit with you guys huh ^^ Yeah I agree its good

a fan of Galneryus here too! =DDD

Syu's born in 1980 or 1982..can't exactly remember. i found out abt this somewhere on the net. and oh yes...he is the youngest member in Galneryus, the oldest in the band is 10 years his senior. Teenage prodigy is nothing fresh in Japan...go read up. =)
