Just had the new Furch G24SL Cutaway in for some work. I'll thought I do a review of this guitar.
This is the 2nd batch that was brought in by Brendon of BGW guitars. There is a noticable difference and improvement on this 2nd batch over the first. One is the guitar is built lighter and with one strum of a chord ..you will notice that its way louder, smoother tone and way more responsive. Rich yet sweet.
The bolt on neck system is with a perfect neck pitched. This is evidently seen in the high saddle..as we all know ..the top acts as a pump going up and down ..transfering energy from the bridge plate down to the sides and the back . In unison giving you that loud bold tone found on good sounding guitars.
the top spots a tight grain even coloured sitka spruce. The soundhole beneath is reinforced with a donut( this is used by spanish) which stiffens the soundhole to allow a more responsive top. Ivoroid bound on the body with a rich coloured abalone rosette. Tight grain quartersawn indian rosewood on the back and sides( this type of quality is like the Taylor 800 series they used)
Ebony bound fretboard with mountain inlays and an ebony bridge. Schaller tuners with cream ivoroid buttons.
Enjoy Cheers Jarvis
we start off with a video review..
