Friends - new R&B song by Tat Tong

Hey guys,

Thanks for your support and encouragement so far. I've just come up with yet another R&B song - Friends, about how sometimes it's better to be friends than lovers.

This song was a production exercise for me, trying to replicate the elements used by Bryan Michael Cox in his productions for Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige. I love his simple, classy arrangements and mix style, and I hope I've managed to achieve a reasonably convincing facsimile.

hey great song man, do you use fruity loops? if you did the sound was pretty damn good

Hey, thanks... I'm producing with SONAR 7 Producer, not Fruity Loops, although I hear lots of R&B/hip hop types use it and the stuff that some of my friends do using FL sounds quite good. I think SONAR is a better DAW for all round production tho (besides beat-making). Any comments on the song itself beyond the engineering?
