Fret help needed!!

Hey all, happy new year! I got a burning question.

Is it ok to use Autosol to shine frets?

I did this recently and the results are good. I placed two pieces of tape on each side of the fret so that the Autosol wont affect the fretboard.. They turned out to be super shiny.

And i recently got this second hand guitar and the frets look very dull... Is it ok if i use Autosol to shine it? Will there be any effects, like wearing the frets out? The guitar's an Epi LP btw.

All replies appreciated!

It should be ok as I have used it before but use a piece of paper to protect the fretboard when you are polishing the frets.

Yes it works.

Can use a piece of plastic as a template, cut out a slot for the fret.

Thin piece of plastic like those dividers in diaries, files etc.

yes its good and effective, but DO ( PLEASE DO REMEMBER ) REMEMBER TO USE TAPE AND TAPE YOUR FRETBOARD, you don't want those whitish gunk to be in your wood grain do you? :???: i did it, but last time i do it stupidly with one of my guitar and there's whitish gunk in the fret board just dunno how to clean it out.. anyway hope it helps
