Freak Kitchen is a sick band

woo, not bad, its hard to find people listening to these type of songs nowadays.
hmm, its kinda sudden during the breakdown. he has a nice voice to boot.

Really? I thought these kind of songs still retain some popularity... like its melodic yet its not radio-ed.

Anyway, Mattias' playing has improved yet again. The solo has pretty good stuff going on, especially in the feel department.

hmm i see... well i was refering to the majority of kids out there at the town area. they more into hardcore, fast heavy songs.

but i must say the ambience of some kind of love song is kinda void at certain part of the song

yeah, kind of agree that pple are more into hardcore, fast heavy songs.

but then again, freak kitchen and particularly Mattias IA Eklundh's minimalist approach to music is kind of a relieve after listening to pretty heavy stuff. You can check out ME's solo album, there's lyk tones of "voids" inside the album, HAHA

wait is is voidness of ambience suppose to be good?

maybe in terms of minimalism at least i guess..

well, actually i also dunno lah, haha

but then again, music is not juz made of sound, it's also made of silence, so maybe the minimalist are making (more) use of silence to convey what they feel?

Mattias is interesting... and its even better to note how he has morphed and improved over time.

I recall - he used the same old guitar tricks and licks over and over again for a certain time. It was frankly - boring. Then now? I hear new stuff, I hear exploration and maturity taking place. Very interesting very refreshing.

There's only so much one can listen to yet another Malmsteen rip off lick... but to try and incorporate indian scales in a ballad (another song), I salute thee.

hmmm i see, well everyone changes in time..

well some dont.

but time changes everything..

In response to Kedraiv

hmm well to me silence is golden. Its music to my ears when im trying to sleep.
