Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has any info on these somewhat different drums...
My big boss and I were hunting for pots and pans for a Pastamania gig, and we wound up at a karang guni fella's place, and the guy was selling a made-in-Japan Pearl drumset, BUT, instead of the regular top hoop and skin, the top of the toms were fitted like a roto-tom. It looks exactly the same as a roto-drum, where you can spin the top around to meddle with the tuning. The snare drum is built like that as well. The roto tops are by Remo and the shell is by Pearl.
I'll post some pics soon, after my boss cleans it up. Everytime anyone goes near the set now they get sinus :/
It was living in the dirtiest, most neglected part of the karang guni hole (which, make no mistake, is damn high tech on the inside, with CCTV and 24-hour air con).
Thanks SOFTies! Your interest and discussions will definitely be appreciated and noticed
