a laminate copy of flame maple. normally used to create the illusion that the guitar has a flame maple top.

I think fotoflame (or is it photoflame?) is a graphic printed on a plain maple cap... Some of the Samick Greg Bennett and Aria guitars have them.

yup, photoflame is simply a piece of paper(or any other thin material) printed with flamed/quilted maple design and pasted on to the guitar, then coated with a clear, see thru finish.

Unlike real figured maple cap or veneers, photoflame has no depth or 3d illusion at all when you look at different angles.
