Hello! I'm a Bassist here looking to form a band playing originals. I am 21 this year and a seasoned player that has been playing Bass for the past 8 years. I have performed in many shows including esplanade events like Baybeats, etc... I have also been in bands etc..
Genres are mainly Soul, Funk, R&B influenced by 70s style aesthetic and music.
Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak, to local influences like Kribo, etc... Are some main influences
CHIC for full on disco funk if we have the right chemistry hehe
Currently, I am looking for:
- Vocalists (1 Main, 2-3 backups)
- Lead Guitar (funky syiok feels)
- Rhythm Guitar
- Drummer (a funky one with Anderson Paak influences).
- Percussionists (Congas, Bongos, Tambourine, etc...)
- Horn Section (Trumpet, Sax, etc..)
Normally I don't have racial preferences but for the sound I am pursuing, I'm looking for Malays, Indians as they are much better sounding in these genres and within age group between 20-26.
Lastly, would really love to have positive vibes and outgoing personalities as it really helps with creativity and room for open discussions and opinions. Would love to write originals as a band collaborative
