Just put a deposit on a 7String Suhr so I gotta let this one go.
Black Mayones Regius7. With case. Excellent condition. Bought it in the US in January.
I made a few modifications/improvements:
* Original Sperzel tuners were slipping (2 of them) - I replaced them with superior Hipshot 18:1 locking tuners (same ones Suhr use after dropping Sperzel). Finer precision and no tuning problems now. (old tuners in the case)
* Originally wired with BKP Aftermath pickups. They have ONE great sound, but are terrible if you roll the volume off or touch the tone knob... I installed Suhr Hot 7s. Now it has that Djenty Purr sound and you can get some nice cleans and fusion sounds. (NOTE - the deal includes the original BKPs in case you want to put them back)
* Originally wired with three way blade and a push-pull on the volume pot. I hate this - it's unreliable and two steps to change tone. Duh. Replaced/rewired preamp with Bournes volume pot (yes, real $15 Bournes model 82) and a 5 way switch. Also put a 150k/160pf treble bleed circuit to keep the highs when you roll back the volume. (old parts will be in the case)
* it shipped with Schaller Strap Lock pins (pins only).
* the guitar has a glossy lacquer finish. This is fine for appearance but it makes the back of the neck sticky to play. I used some 3M cloth to cut the gloss back on the rear of the neck. Only takes 5 or 6 swipes to do the job. It now appears matt, but is silky smooth instead of sticky. No damage to the neck as barely any material is removed.
You can find these in the US around US$4.2k to US$4.5k - I'm asking SG$3,000 for everything as stated above.
