hi can anyone give some advice on this product

http://www.zzounds.com/item--FOCSAFFIREPRO

I am looking for an audio interface that will allow me to link up my computer, monitors and keyboard together.

it boils down to either presonus firestudio or focusrite saffire pro i just want to get some feedback if anyone have use.

i do know that also HUNG BROS take in presonus products but what about focusrite.

Another question is although i will mostly by using software sythns i still want some spaces for racks modules, will it be better if i connect a mixer and wired all my racks together or is it better if i connect it to a midi interface for my keyboards and rack sections?and have the audio interface use mainly for recording vocals?

my main objective is to have a very very good preamp in order to ensure the clarity of the final product.

thanks

the only thing i can say is team108 is the dealer for focusrite. the rest i can't help, because i've only used presonus firepod and bluetube dp preamp, and the crappy ones : behringer / ART. so not experienced enough to help in anyway. cheers

5¢ worth

I bought a Behringer Firewire interface . Only $160 at Hung Bros . Got quarter inch inputs and balanced 1/4 inch to monitors . Used to be using Tascam US122 but it died on me for no reason .

I have the original Saffire which is a really good interface and if I upgraded to an interface with more inputs would go for the Saffire Pro any day.

I've also used the Firepod on the same PC as the Saffire and if you just want inputs and not all the features of the Saffire Pro I'd go for that as, at the money, it's a total bargain.

one of the big differences is the Saffires have Focusrite green mic pres in them so if that's important to you then go that way.

How much are team 108 selling it for here?

they are letting go at 1200 with the firmware.

wheras apoggee ensemble is 3000 plus. i really dono why apoggee charge that much for ensemble maybe bcos of the low latency i guess. but i am considering a good interface for my MAC PRO using along with logic.

several inputs will be nice but i would like a better mic pre and stability instead. actually MOTU pre8 do keep me hesitating awhile as well.
