Anybody can help me?Recently i was adjusting my floyd rose so it can have a lower action.BUT! after few adjustments. I realised that my tt floyd rose the pivot the halen key part the shape have been eaten out. Instead of being a hexagon shape, now it's round. And my intonation has been affected by it. The
thicker strings are louder than the thinner three. Can anyone help me?

Is there anyway of adjusting it?? Or maybe if i change the pivots to those fat strat kind with those philip screw grip can?? How much??

I have no idea what you talking about.

It would help to find a picture of the parts of a Floyd Rose and then point out the parts.

A good place to start would be warmoth.com

You have worn out the grip likely because you tried to adjust it while your strings were tightened on the guitar.

Your intonation has not been affected by it being worn. The problems are mutually exclusive.

Your thicker strings being louder than the thinner three also have nothing to do with either the posts being worn, or the intonation. All three of them are mutually exclusive.

1. Yes you can adjust it. Take out your strings and the spring, thus unsureing there's no pressure applied on the post. You should now be able to adjust it fairly easily. This was what you're supposed to have done in the first place.

2. You'll have to balance both sides such that you get the string to string volume you want.

3. You'll have to intonate your guitar.

4. You'll have to stop using uneccessary punctuation.

Oh? then wat's the problem with it?Hmm.. so i can actually adjust it even when it has worn out? Which means i do not need to change the pivots?Sorry , i'm just a guitar noob.

Actually, there's no need to do that. You can tighten it with all strings on, no issues whatsoever.

All in all, if guitarplague, you don't know ANYTHING, go to www.ibanezrules.com the tech section and read. Else, find a tech/experienced person to show you how to do it properly on a floyd.

actualli since the thread of the allen key is dead, as u said the hexagon is now a circular shape.. i suggest you go get a new trem post they cost abt $5 at davis last time i bought..since its a floyd trem post it shud be easy to unscrew using ur hands..

Uzzo, that's not very advisable because

1) We don't know what trem is it.
2) We don't know if its a direct (into wood) mounted trem post, or holder mounted.

Different trems also use different trem posts sizes.

aye.. my bad..

but that was what i did when my thread died..just my 2 cents.
ya niwaes if it affects your sound that much as you say brng it down to a tech or post some pics for 2nd opinion..

Licensed Ibanez floyd? All Ibanez floyds are licensed. :) Except the ZR methinks, but can't recall.

But key words, this sucks = almost certainly the TRS varient

What guitar is it?
