okie, here's the problem. when i tune to a EADGBE and locked the locking nut bolt it was in tune for like a couple of sec then when i started using the whammy bar,the strings soon going out of tune , some high some low notes . anyone can help me? i'am using a edge pro trem

My personal experience, you need to "stretch" the strings or so-called "train" them.
Tune then wham out of control, then tune, wham again, tune again, wham again.. and so on.. after 20 or so tries, your strings will be in its optimum state.

Or, your locking nut is not locking :D

you cant tune a floating bridge like fixed bridge guitar. as the name inplies..it floats..thus tuning one string to the standard tuning will basically make the rest out of tune.

this is what i usually do. turn all the fine tuner to the same height..not too high nor too low. after which..tune the strings as follow:

low E - Sharpest
A - Sharper than D
D - Sharper than G
G - Sharper than B
B - Slightly sharper than E
high E - Standard Tuning

after that..lock the locking nut. fine tune using the fine tuners. thats whats the website saying also.

JonEthan: that has to be the most time wasting way to stretch out the strings.

just grab then and stretch them, strating from the bridge and holding the string between your middle finger and thumb and stretch it, moving slowly up to the nut. much faster way to do it. :)

oh okie . i'am getting my strings today so as pinkspider said Sharpest to tune
low E - Sharpest
A - Sharper than D
D - Sharper than G
G - Sharper than B
B - Slightly sharper than E
high E - Standard Tuning

means like a highE,HighD,HighG,HighB,SlightlySharperE,E?
