i know this may be viewed by many as blasphemy, but i never quite "got" what the hoo-ha was about quilted maple tops. i personally dislike the "crumpled waves" kinda look of them, and prefer flame/carved tops.

anybody else out there who's weird like me?

to senn_liu: meeeee. i myself don't really know how to appreciate quilt tops also. go for the flame man! but seriously can't deny that some quilt tops are really killerrrrrrr.

Well, I'm fine with flame / quilted tops.. but not really into birdseye.. ANYWAY. personal preference.

Anyway, on quilted, I'm not that big a fan either, but this one is growing on me:

I think ur birds eye maple neck is totally fine! Hahaha.. I'm just not into those super obvious pokkadots birdseye maple.. Some birdseye I've seen shows more of the grain lines than the pokkadots.. haha.
