First pedal???

I've been looking for a light overdrive/distortion pedal.

By light warm sounding overdrive i mean something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTYIvBPBKEA. Forward to the solo.
And the song's "I Could have Lied from RHCP"

Considering between Boss DS-1 Boss DS-2 or Ibanez tubescreamer.

I have a VOX AD15VT amp and a humbucking ltd viper guitar.

So which one dyu guys think I should go for?

john frusciante's drive pedals are the EHX USA big muff, boss DS-2(not sure made where), and a EHX english muff'n which he doesnt always use on tour. from the album version, i think its a DS-2, since that was prob the only drive pedal he used for BSSM.
