Wat do u guys think about this idea? And how much do u think 3 single coils stock fender tex-mex should cost? ..considering it a 2nd hand of course.. Thanks!

i've tried the 60th anniversary commemorative strat, the tex mex on it sounds really bright. produces a really full sound. would definitely work great with the presence of mild overdrive.

why not you let us know what you intend to get out of your guitar, like what kinda sounds.

makes it easier for us to help you that way :D

Thanks for the advices till now.. I'm not exactly aiming for any sound, I just want to upgrade those stock squier pickups to have more tonal quality.. if u ask me I'll definitely want a traditional bright fenderly tone.. hehe..

which Squier model is this? if it's the Deluxe model, IMO the default single coils are very pleasant. otherwise, the Tex Mex is a good choice.

if u'r not looking for brand new ones, forums like this should have occasionally.. but u have to be fast and keep a look out. Dun be like me... I've just lost a chance of getting my hands on a set of 3 tex mex costing only $50!
