Fender Squier Mini Player Enquiry

Hi guys,

Wonder if any one here owns or have played a squire mini player.I have been very interested in this guitar and wants to buy it,it is selling around $262 over at swee lee.Just want to check with you guys whether this guitar is good enough for a beginner or for the price.Is the sound good? I like the fact that it comes built in with the amp,distortion and most importantly have a headphone jack for silent practice which is very useful for me.

personally, i feel that starting with a cheap acoustic guitar is the best method. it's more affordable, and probrably would be better sounding than that junk. it might be slightly harder at first, but it helps to build toughness and strength on your fingers much better and faster. also, if you're unsure on whether guitar's for you, a cheap choice like an acoustic guitar is a good starter gauge.

Thanks.I forgot to mention that i already owned a Ibanez beginner acoustic guitar.I am actually looking for a guitar that i can plugged in a headphone without the need of an amp,something that i can bring around and practice without disturbing anyone when playing outside or at home after those complaints from the neighbours.Anyway does mini player really sound like a junk? lol.

ah, then it might be better if you get a cheap standard electric guitar and the vox earphone amplifier. it goes for pretty cheap if i remember. the most expensive i've ever seen it is 60+ dollars. and it actually sounds pretty good!

also, the mini is a 3/4 sized guitar. depending on how old you are, you might wanna take that into account when you make your purchase. for example, if you're old (and grown) enough to play full-sized guitars (seeing that you already have an ibanez acoustic), it will be better now, as well as in the long run, to get a full-sized guitar.

The Vox Headphone amp certainly is a very good suggestion.I have done a bit research on that and it is exactly what i want.Thanks alot for the help! Is it easily found in singapore ? i wonder if shops like swee lee has it?anyone know where i can find it.Btw,I don't do online shopping.
