Shucks, wrong timing.....AGAIN!!!

Past: "Must save up for Sweelee's mid/year end sale!"

Present: "Must save up for monthly Sweelee sales!"

i recommend a highway 1 strat. great body, satin, brings out the sound best! thin finish mah...

and the highway1 strat has that real great vintage sound, but beware! the output is low, only the bridge can give a lil bit of punch on high gain. it's more for blues and rock i guess...

but the satin gives it the super good sound that is so nice and 70s

i'm a big H1 fan but i wouldn't describe the tone to be a '70s' derivative, the pickups are largely neutral sounding & open- nothing too outgoing, nothing too restrained either.

whats good to get?

the Highway1 series are good considerations, others include:

*re-issue Classic Series
*American series
*if the 50th Anniversary series are subject to discount as well- priority!

Bass:
*ask them if they still have the Aerodyne bass
*51 P-bass re-issue

the above Stage 1000 model from the Dyna Touch III series is a wonderful unit to say the least. the Dyna Touch technology now is a derivative of the Cyber Series so it has its reputation & doesn't sound too digital. i'm impressed with the clean tones of these series, of course the on-board FXs & instant tuner is simply thumbs up!
