Fender MIM vs American Std

Hey Rork,

Oh, it's definitely a tele I'm looking for... well, that or a Rickenbacker 330 or 360 or a Gretsch Tennessee Rose or Country Classic/Gent. But since the latter are more rare to find...


But haven't found any that really "feels" right, you know? You have any suggestions?

Sorry bro. I donch know too much about Teles or guitars in general. I just hit the strings.

But if I can humbly suggest, if you want country, why not go for an acoustic with a pup installed? It may sound weird but that's what I would go for if I wanted a Tele-like sound and play country and yet have the option for an acoustic that's not too far away.

Lots of acoustic stuff around these days that offer different sounds. For a country-like sound, you may just find your gold. And it'll be much cooler than a Tele, IMHO. Maybe not better but if you can pull it off - mmmh, mmmmmmhhh!
