Fender Jazz Bass

I need help deciding which jazz bass to get a American Standard ,Standard or the high way one.What are their difference and do the price justify their quality.

personally i'd say just go for the tone which you like. higher price doesn't always mean better.

IMHO as the fender series goes higher and higher up, the differences in tone become more and more subtle

the specs will differ, but if your ears can't justify the price, then save up for other stuff instead

also, buy from overseas if you can, don't get ripped off by the $$$ greedy local dealer here overcharing and marking up the prices by a huge amount.

important thing is to get a feel of what the prices are like for the different models. can ask around or surf around sites from different countries.

The american standard is made in america. the highway one is also made in america but at a factory nearer to the mexican border. The standard is made in Mexico.

Go figure the cost difference and diff in tone/feel.
