Hi,i am planning to purchase a fender strat.However i find that most of the fenders have only 21 frets which is insufficient to me as i often use the 22nd. So i would like to know which MIJ model have 22 frets.thnks!

not all, depends on series eg: Am Vintage 70s Strat has 21 frets

The modern american ones have 22 frets, the vintage reissues are 21.

maybe he wants to play the solo on Rock you like a hurricane....the 22th fret is quite important for that song tho my strat only has 21 frets i use my pitch shifter to make up for it and i play on the lower registers.

For the solo?A 1/2 step bend could do the trick....rite?

Well back to topic its just my opinion that 21 fret is as capable as 22 fret....thats all....

haha, matthias jabs does a 1/2 step bend on the 22nd fret while doing that solo, so on a 21th fret, you gotta bend up one whole step and pick the solo runs at the same speed....a bit tough IMO.....lol

or u could but a strat and get a new neck from kelvin from gc and pop it on...

LOL!!Not really actually.......but unfortunately the topic here is not about Matthias Jabs doing a 1/2 step bend on the 22 fret...LOL!

The topic starter asking for recommendation for a 22 fret MIJ model....i believe its the Craft Premium model has it shredrat...the ST54 LS..i could be wrong but you can still check...or the one sub recommended.

there's one cij one with stock lace sensors for pickups~ can't remember the model tho' but i am pretty sure its 22 frets
