Been reading quite a bit about fake MIA Fenders. Apart from COAs, how else can you verify the authencity of the guitar without tearing the guitar apart?

1. Serial Number
2. Specs of the guitar

more importantly, reduce the chances of acquiring non-genuine items by getting Fenders from authorised dealers.

if a fake fender sounds as nice as a real one. den i dun mind paying 2000. Since real high end strats cost like more than that.

Not all Fenders have COA, only very few do.

You can tell from Serial number, Finish, Model, Year/Colour combination.
Basically all the hardware can tell you if it is original or non-original to the guitar.

Most importantly is check the serial number against the model colour and description.

agree with ysr... if the fake has unusually expensive hardware with cool finishing and pickups, 2K is a steal...

but if it's a sx strat with fender headstock, i am so gonna murder that dealer with that guitar

to differentiate between a fake fender and a real fender, you got to feel the feel and hear the tone.

agree with that.

hmm..is it possible for a fake fender to sound as good as a real one?
If so, then i must find the manufacturer and strike a business deal with him MUAHAHAHAHA:D
