Eh...will be getting this amp and wondering where i could get a transformer for this amp as it's in US voltage and how much would the transformer cost? :)

any hardware shop will have it. just ask for a step down transformer to change the mains voltage (220-240V AC) to 110-120V AC(US). Shouldn't cost more than $30 for quite a heavy duty one...though I bought one 3-4 yrs ago, so things might've changed.

u can try sim lim.
make sure you get your numbers and fact correct before buying.
if not bring home and plug in and your amp goes up in smoke.

I remember one of our forum members here that had a USA Mesa bought a HUGEASS transformer for refrigerators that expats buy when they shift here... he was exchanging sms and phonecalls with me the other time.

Hope he'll come in and give his comments.

you would need a step down transformer
i got a 1kwatt 240 to 110 step down from SLT
it costs me 110 dollars new star brand i think

works with my mesa mark iv though
no problems

thks for the replies bros :) will go check it out at sim lim tower...my amp's wattage is 40W so do i need to get the 1kwatt one?? no rite?? and it runs on 120v...so a step down to 110v will do still?? or do i have to get an exact 120v?? hmm..hopefully i'll be able to get a cheaper transformer..

you'll be just running the amp at 110VAC, 10VAC lower than its actual, no harm, maybe just oh so slightly less headroom.

better to get a hugeass transformer than a small one. read the advise of mikemann on another similar thread.

haha...thks bro...aight the update is...i managed to power it up...thks to all those bro who answered my queries :) time to make music :)
