Hey guys, just wanna share a problem with u all. My guitar has a lot of feedback whenever i play stuff with distortion, anf i think its coming from my pedal. How can i reduce the feedback/ humming? the thing is, if i reduce e gain, it will not be e right kind of tone i want. btw, my gear is amp->daphon chorus->iabnez de-7 delay->marshall guvnor->guitar. any how to get "feedbackless" distortion? must i get a better pedal? pls do help. thanks.

What guitar and pickups is yours? Your description sounds more like microphonic squeal that usually happens with pickups that are not wax potted "enuff" to accomodate high gain settings that you're probably dialling in for that "shiok" factor.

i'm using seymour duncans. i recently changed my pups only ya.. yes, i have a high gain setting at about 3 o clock. is there anything i can do to sustain my tone but cut out e feedback? or do u think i should get a new pedal? could it be e pedal problem? i dunno cos from wad i heard, certain pedals dun give tt much feedback at high gain settings.

what guitar, what amp? what gain settings on the guvnor and what gain settings on the amp?

if you're using single coils, the hum is always there, 50 or 60 cycle.
stacking pedal distortion and amp(considering its solid state) distortion also isn't a good idea, sure to produce feedback.

you should try standing further away, lower the gain on your amp, check for loose wirings. might be the power supply you're using for the pedals also

and is it feedbacking when you mute the strings?
