did you get the parts and got mikemann to join them all up for you?Fruitwine said:hmm... since u guys r on the topic of fat strats, what pickups are u guys using?
my "fat strat" details are::
Fender Mexico Strat neck
Aria swimming pool routed body :twisted:
lil59 - stock single coil - custom custom
the two humbuckers are coil tapped by this cool little red switch mikemann installed for me :wink:
all in, still cheaper than a highway one or maybe even a mex strat.
oh. cause i saw some strat parts, and a manual for building your own strats on ebay. thought mikemann could do it, then i could have a totally customised strat.. looks like i have to stick with the mass produced ones :lol:Fruitwine said:haha no. the thing started life as a aria fat strat i got in thailand. fender neck came off luthermusic for 48 bucks, definately a steal, custom custom came foc from my bro. heck, only thing i payed for was the lil59 and the work cost i paid mike to install that one. the fender neck, pickguard, and stuff were installed by my dad and bro, though mike fixed some problems with my tone knobs
Fruitwine said:whoa vege, that is sexah! :twisted: er, paid mike 35 to install the SD lil59, fix tone pots, change new double coil tap switch.
