besides the CDs that is, cos im sure he bot their album alr :D

i was simply trying to say that there are so many people now who tend to dislike overly commercialized stuff compared to something more obscure or not that well known, especially in music.

and i said IF mtv play maiden and lamb of god, they will then be considered too mainstream. hence having more people donning their merchandises in the streets, which in turn make them not as 'cool' as before.

rapping is one of the main core in hip hop music. what is left of it if there isnt any rapping in hip hop video? would you prefer to see slient videos of masked graffiti artists spraying paint in back alleys?
 
every video of hip hop u see is basically showing that these people have money, have big cars, have girls and all that shit...

im not a believer in that kinda case and IMHO this people don't really have talent... they just talking, in a really fast manner and thats all...

but people who like rap on the spot, man gotta give some shout out to those homies man they hussle their ass on the streets and battle with the mouth on the spot.. now gotta give some love to those brothers man.. they think of the lyrics on the spot...

IMHO, i'd rather listen to RNB, Blues and people with musical abilities like usher, ne-yo and all those people who can sing and really dance good. rather than seeing a black male, dressed with a crown and animal threaded coats with big cars, big boobied chicks inside a million dollar car, throwing money...

But snoop d o double G is good.. other rappers are whacked...

marc's being really childish there, you should learn to appreciate all forms of music, and not be biased against any genre, know that everyone has their own opinions to music and if you're against it, just keep it to yourself and keep quiet.
 
every style of music IS music. we as musicians should be learn to appreciate the musicality in it. not the fashion part. in fact, we should be 'musician' enough to see pass the surface and analyse the arrangement, production technique, effectiveness ...
