Hi fellas.. i'm new to SOFT.. just about to post pics of my handywork for constructive criticism and opinions.. haha..

My first attempt:

This was done a few years back. Got hold of some scrap checkered plate.. made some holes.. then got the surrounding frame done up.. voila.. my first prototype..

Had no suitable case for it.. so i just got some vinyl and tested my lousy sewing skills.. came up with a simple case:

Then i got a few more pedals.. gifts and what not.. Everything started spilling around the edges..!

So i decided.. ah wadahell.. its time to make a new one.. got someone to fabricate the plates (stayed away from the checkered plates.. Heavy as hell!!)and frame for me.. went for the more flexible method this time.. got myself some velcro and whatnot.. and you can see the before and after velcro:

Yup, i know some people might think that its heavy. It sorta is, but i'm a nut when it comes to cabling. I like them to be hidden as much as possible. Didn't take a photo of the back, but the bottom plate hides all the cables. Besides, might as well do something that's my own design and i don't see anywhere else.. keke..

Total cost was around $100 at most.. Happy with what i have.. considering my limited hand-skills..

Comments please!

PS. Thanks to Mr. Hide for making my first Buy/Sell at SOFT an enjoyable one!

Dont I know u form somewhere??

dang! i've been sniffed out by my bassist!! haha..

Anyway, thanks for the comments so far.. as for the material, i get my contact to source for them once i pass him my drawings. One point of contact, and cheaper too.

Was thinking of anyone likes this pedalboard idea or something similar.. Did another sample drawing like this:

Of cos, i just put in 4 standard stomp pedals and a FT Jr. I use normal sized patch cables, so i allow for more space in between. I know some ppl use those super-flat ones, which means you can fit more pedals in. Slots for the cable openings are easily customisable. Velcro-wise, i got those 4 inch one, and i use some gasp-got-my-finger-glued-to-the-plate kind of industrial adhesive.. been okay so far.. my pedals are able to defy gravity.. heh..

May I know where did you get these? Or are they from your contact too?

yo man.. just pop down to Textile centre.. i cant remember the shop name, but its on ground floor. Just be thick-skinned and ask every shop.. haha.. worked for me. YKK down the road had good quality 5inch bristle type ones (similar to the 3M dual lock), but not available in small quantity. They only had a sample from their supplier. The bulk quantity cost a bomb!

Anyone interested in custom-making the plates i got or the frame or whatever; like the kind of concept i've shown etc, just PM me or something. I can help to see how to get the stuff for you. Its a hobby for me, so if i can i'll be happy to help!

Aww man, last time I worked at the the building just beside the textile center. Haha.

You mean at the textile center has the velcro or the adhesive? And where is YKK? Any idea where to buy in custom area sized? Not the strip kinds.

dude.. i was talking about the velcro.. anyway, as far as my legwork has taken me.. there's no velcro avail in custom sizes.. not in SG anyway..
