Hi, is anyone going for the Evelyn Glennie concert at the esplanade on 21st July? Heard she's a great female percussionist probably playing modern classical.
have read about her before. I can't make it but do go if you can. She's a fantastic percussionist and musician and she's deaf. She's not great in spite of her deafness but used her ability to sense sounds as vibrations to become an accomplished musician.
Hey, Evelyn Glennie is awesome! You wouldn't have guessed from her playing that she's deaf. Cuz she can emote and express subtle nuances as good as, or better sometimes, than people who hear.
I've seen her 3 times, and I would go again if I could make it this Friday. Darn!
