I knew it the moment i saw his face on the toto album. Steve Lucather!

Steve Lukather was from Toto, and is also a notable sessionist, producer and songwriter with FIVE grammy awards to his name. He is a very versatile musician. While known for his pop-rock style in Toto, alot of his side projects showcase his talents in progressive, jazz and funk as well.

I would love to see Steve Lukather play live. He once said he prefers the dynamics of performing live, so i can imagine that if he sounds so good in recording, he'd be amazing onstage. I've watched some of videos of his live performances...nowadays he uses very little effects in his playing, but I really enjoy his melodic playing style. Beautiful note choices. His solos actually say something, and they are very intense and emotive. He uses alot of wide bends with impressive accuracy (but of course), and i love his vibrato technique.
