ESP LTD EC1000 or ESP Eclispe

Hey Guys,

I have been eyeing the ESP LTD EC1000 (the so called Highest-End model of the LTDs') for quite some time but when now finally I decided to buy it, I realized that an Eclipse is only a couple hundred dollars more.

I am just about ready to buy the EC1000 right now but having second thoughts now because of the price range.
Should I go on and get the EC1000 or should I raise more cash to get the Eclipse???

Hope any Eclipse and EC1000 owners out there could give me some advice.

ESP eclipse...no doubt about it. You pay for what you get. Top class craftsmanship. Though the ltd ec-1000 is a fantastic guitar but since u can afford to get an ESP Eclipse, why not?

I just checked, I saw an Eclispe couple of weeks or maybe months ago that cost 1.9k.
The difference would be $500 for a standard Esclispe vs EC1000 Full Thickness model.
But the Guitar was an older model and it has been sold. Now the Eclispe run at $2.2k.
So its about $800 difference.

that's right, the new list prices for ESPs are more than before. $800 isn't quite 'a little bit more', you can get another LTD series 3XX with that much money. i've no issues with any Deluxe LTDs, they are all great vale for money instruments.

I have no doubt that ltd makes good guitars. But since you have to ask, I'd say just get the ESP. You know you want it. No point asking yourself sometime later, what if I had gotten the ESP instead.

get the ltd = still gassing for the esp
get the esp = at least the gas stops for a while

@Sub - Yeah man, that's what i thought too. if it was $500 still. I would maybe get the Eclispe.
$800 is quite a lot actually, The EC401 series are at $850 and if I am ready to buy an Eclispe, I would have want to pre-order a particular model/finish I want. Maybe I should get the Deluxe first and Eclispe much later?

Just try, and buy when it feels right (like shit this is the one).

Wants you start talking about other brands. There won't be an end to it. Btw have you tried the Prs se stuff, especially the se 245. Really cool stuff and for a great price too.
Anyway cost of buying ESP now =2200. Cost of. Buying ESP later= 2200 + loss from resale of ltd.
