ESP EC series

edward guitar is JDM (Japan domestic market ) - not for export -
ESP - slightly higher then the EDWARD.

LTD - Made in Korea (higher ) , Indonesia (lower)

Edward - Middle (Made in Japan)

ESP ( standard )- Higher

ESP Custom- Highest end

But there a different - Best is to go and try the guitar out..
then can compare Edward and ESP.

I did try the SUzigo edward and ESP - the extra 450 is worth it

Thanks feedback for your input. Much appreciated. Well guess i have to save the 1.9k. So wats the diff between the SD pickups and the EMG ones? Emgs tend to be more for the metal guitarist right?

No regret owning one...

the Edwards were not conceived to be pitted against the ESPs in standard or in offerings. QC is very high with the former, ESP's QC are top most simply because they are intended to be so. the ESP std models we see today are actually custom designated offerings with lesser frills, hence the lower prices.

i own both Edwards & ESP- they are exceptional for the money. the former isn't second fiddle to the latter, they are just different.

LTD EC-50s come in both gloss & satin finishes. the high end LTDs available @ Davis are the 30th Ann models which IMO are worth it.

Do the anniversay one come with EMGs? How much are they? Didnt see when i was there. Its the goth one with the mat finish and no inlays? Don't really dig that one.

So whats the difference between ur Edward and ESP?

Oh and i checked music123, the LTD EC-500 are about 950 converted to sing dollars.

refer to my post over @ page 1- those are definitely EMGs in the Anniversary Eclipse. this guitar is located behind the amps over @ Davis...

my singlecuts: Edwards (top-most, gold finish), ESP (bottom-most, the only guitar with EMGs...)

what's the diff? these 2 are entirely different guitars.

ESP: i wanted a modern interpretation of the classic singlecut design, thinner body, high gain pickups, rounded but slimmer neck.

Edwards: i wanted a non-Gibson copy that would constantly remind me of superb non-american craftsmanship. i have too many humbucking guitars, i opted for P-90s with this one.

well its obvious the only one for metal is the ESP haha. Ohh i see, well maybe il check with davis again. So how much does the LTD anniversay cost? About 1k? If it cost about 1k i might as well save up for a ESP or Edward cos i heard that Edward and ESP quality are much better.

Oh sorry but wats IMO?

IMO = in my opinion

that's the general misconception: EMG = good for metal. metal isn't about pickups- it's about intensity, pickups are part of the equation.

my all time favourite guitar for intense music is my telecaster:

i have nothing bad to say about the LTDs available @ Davis, entry level units/ high end ones are all well-made. we must stop equating brand names with preferred quality. the seasoned players here know too well that there are many asian copies which are better than the American Les Paul- but let us not relight this jaded dichotomy 8)

Thanks Subversion for all ur replies. Is that a SD dimebucker i see in ur tele? Looks great. Alright man but i saw the craftsmanship of the LTD EC-50s at Davis. I wasn't impressed.
