Hi there

I need help about the strings. Hope you guys can help me out. In singapore they do sell them right? But why not all? There is Skinny Top Heavy Bottom sets right, but i can't find them. Have you guys tried the Beefy Slinky? It does indicate "for detuned"or something right? What does that mean? And does the gauge mean any diffrence? Like the 10 or 9. Thanks in advance yeah

1. Why don't dealers inventorize all Ernie Ball string offerings- only the dealer can address this.

2. 'Detuned' means it's for lower than standard tunings...

3. Of course the gauge indicates a difference- the bigger the number, the thicker the strings are...

Cheerious to you too (whatever it means)...

Hey thanks for the reply.. Ok since they do not bring them in, what other options that i have? I need 10-13-17-30-42-52. And can i like import like 5/6 box to SG? haha i dont know about this stuff. :)

Why can they rust easily? All strings do rust right

Yes every string does rust, but each each brand reacts differently to your body's chemical makeup.

How to find out if Ernie Balls will last below your fingers?

Grab a normal set of Ernie Balls and use them, then check how fast they rust.

Since you've said you "don't know about this stuff", then why do you want to order 5/6 boxes when after the 1st 3 - 5 packs you find the EB strings rust too fast, sound bad, feel too loose etc etc...

you can try buying from ebay. i bought 1 dozen of not even slinky (12-56) from ebay, which is about $7.20/pack. btw i playing in D with epip SG

there's beefy slinky(11-54) @ ranking sports, selling @ $7.50/pack. beefy slinky can be use for 1step down (D tune).
