Long time ago, epiphone had this model. Its a darn old model now.

I think there was a discussion on Epiphone strats last time, but it was very, very long ago. Perhaps they might become collectible soon. =)

my uncle gave it to me...

Yeah there is. In fact there was one on this forum, i kinda remembered. Relic-ish guitar, kinda banged up but it was an Epiphone Strato. Long long doscontinued. I don't think the sound was fantastic but it's definitely an uncommon piece.

those strats were made in korea. in the kramer factory if i remember. most made in 1995.
i sold off my red sparkle epi strat... really regretting it now... had a super thin neck. sounded great.
but the worst thing of all i let it go for only $200... *sob*

no no, the pups are somewhat damage i guess, they have been keeping this guitar for ages, there are rust on the metal parts on the pups.... i would want to change it if its still ok... im not performing, i just play guitar for leisure...

value? it's discontinued. there's at least some value due to that particular fact. and no, the stock singlecoils are already great as they are. but if yours is already damaged, lace pickups are the best if you want to replicate what the guitar should've sounded like...

i dont think its worth it for you to change pups from the epiphone strat. if i were you i'll save the money and get a better guitar. this is my opinion though.

do have a check on the wood used, seen plywood epi strats b4 ...and for yes epi do have strats and teles as well with the hockey head stock...used to owned 1.

I'm not sure if the ones I expirienced are the same epi strats you all are talking about ..but the ones that I saw are probably THE WORST strat I ever picked up ( & quickly put back down). The hockey stick headstock was my major turn off ..as was the plywood body & sop pus, bridge ...

Bro - my advice - if its not sentimental value ... sell it off and get a better strat..
