other LP copies i recommend (but must upgrade electronics)

craftsman, J&D (same OEM)
TGM
Aria
Agile (from US)

all cheaper than epi LP good craftsmanship but change the pups, u have a better sounding and cheaper LP than an epi LP
Actually i wun quite recommend the TGM as I would for the others... The build quality is not as good. Have heard complaints about tuners spoiling after only 2 weeks of use.

hmmm oh...i'm sure mikemann would agree me with this:

TGM, i've tried their new models (current ones) and their older models. the olders ones are those with bad workmanship, bad tuners etc. i've tried the newer ones, and their much better! even the LP has a set neck! however the electronics arent that good but that can be changed :D

really? Guess I'm really out of things after disappearing from this forum for the past few months..... Got to go to ranking and try one of them these days. How are they compared to Craftsman?

comparing a TGM to a craftsman, i'm not too sure forgot the craftsman (i tried TGM recently). but i would say the finish is roughly the same, their well done, but i think the craftsman is heavier? it's made of alder not sure about TGM, but craftsman is bolt-on, TGM is set neck, thus easier access to upper frets 8)

its negligable on a les paul style guitar, both neck joint construction provide same access (or lack of :) ) to the upper frets

If it's a MIK Epi, go ahead, check for the flaws first any buzzing or raised frets. I had a Epi LP plus MIC which I sold off very quickly as it had the above problems.
