if you are turned on by a Gibson Les Paul, do not expect a faithful replication of it in the Epiphone guise. i'm not too keen on Epis namely because they are riding on the Gibson hype, the wood they use on their version are not 100% compliant with what they state on their website. if you have spare time (assuming you do, you are having a semestral break) browse through SOFT's review section for selected guitar appraisals.

my current praise-worthy, non-signature, Epi Les Paul would be the Ultra model.
