i'm free to type it out here...
according to price or general perception of the guitar grades:
Tier 1
Les Paul Pee Wee-tiny, shortscale, small body, one pick up n a vol knob says it's mahogany/alder body on website, comes only in a pack wif amp n the works
Les Paul Special 2-bolt on neck, 1 vol n 1 tone knobs, 2 pickups
Les Paul 100- bolt on neck, 2 vol n 2 tone knobs, 2 pickups
Les Paul Junior-bolt on neck, 1vol n 1 tone knob, 1 pickup, Greenday's guitarist uses the gibson model n has a signature for himself.
Tier 2
Les Paul Studio- set neck, thinner body, 2 tone n 2 vol knobs
Les Paul Standard-standard benchmark of les paul built in epiphone
Les Paul Standard Plus- standard + flame top
Tier 3
Les Paul custom-thick body, front back binding, has inlay on first fret n gold hardware.
Les Paul custom plus-flamed top i guess? looks nice but discontinued
Les Paul Black Beauty 3-a 3 pickups les paul custom
Les Paul Goldtop 1956 reissue-a reissue of a lp goldtop wif p90 pickups
Uniques-guitars tat only epiphone feature
Les Paul Ultra I-very light les paul due to chamber body, mahogany i guess
Les Paul Ultra II-same as ultra I wif a additional active pickup on the 23rd fret position very cool looking and captures the acoustic sound of this guitar from all tat chambers, all ultras should feature gold hardware according to the website. I should mention that les paul ultra is about the price of a les paul custom's range.
Les Paul Prophecy EX-in black quilt top finish wif EMG 81 n 85 combo
Les Paul Prophecy GX-in black cherry hand rubbed finish wif gibson dirty finger pickups. all prophecy guitars have gold hardware.
Les Paul Studio Goth- lp studio wif matt black finish, black hardware, black pick guard, black all ard, no inlays except for the 12th fret wif 'XII' written there, square celtic cross on headstock decal, despite it looking metal, it actually has the same pickups as LP standard rather than an active pickup, maybe it's trying to be punk or emo.
Les Paul Elitist Series-not much info on this guitar as it is those guitars to let epiphone be gibson grade. Tis guy on soft did a video review showing the works of the guitar, great to check it out.
Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Standard Plus
Signature Series
Slash LP-slash working wif epiphone to create his sig series, wif Seymour Duncans alnico pro II pickups cool looking case, and the headstock decal is a love or hate affair for many
Slash LP goldtop-not really famous for him using a goldtop 'cept on a concert wif his famous talkbox solo, also seymour duncans alnico pro II pickups
Zakk Wylde bulls eye, buzzsaw, camo LP- for metal heads, all gold hardware, all wif EMG HZ4(A) pickups neck n bridge
Twisted Sister Signature Series-i'd call it neon pink colour lp studio, has black hardware and cool looking headstock decal
Ace Frehley Signature series- a 3 pickup les paul flamed top wif lightning bolt inlays
i think tat pretty much covers it all, if i missed out anything do add it...
many will people tend to be complaining about the wood used in constructing epiphone guitars given it's pricing range compared to gibson but it shouldn't be too much of a different, as i always say, eddie van halen uses basswood for his wolfgang EVH guitar, even given his status, he could custom make a guitar using wood from tat cherry tree george washington chopped down.
Blind Test answers all ur minor defects.
if u wanna full review of the guitar, tryout youtube for video reviews, here's a
les paul ultra II review and
les paul slash signature by guitar world.
rockongoodpeople did a brief play-around wif i think Epi Les Paul Stadard plus. but these cannot really tell u the tone as u have no idea wat kind of effects/amps they are running it to.
The most expensive
EPIPHONE ever, not les paul...it's $5000-$12000 usd each on limited run in 2 colours, a old guitar wif nothing special from wat i see...
