Anywayz, would like to ask bout the epiphone dot. heard it on utube and though it sounded quite good. Do you know how much it would cost? and maybe if i could like try it out somewhr, other than swee lee > overpriced >.<

Yep, AXL does make some good 335 copies.
But over and above i'd take the Epiphone. It's twice the price, though, and there have been a lot of complaints about poor finishing, crap electronics, poor binding etc.

If you want my Epiphone Dot i would let it go for $350 since it's over a year old. Never really used it at all ever since i acquired the Epiphone Casino.

It's good not great. Good enough as a starter, etc. but unless you make some major mods, it won't be a keeper. And even after those mods, you may not like it that much.
It's great for the price but it's a good guitar.

Anyone knows the best mods to be done to the axl bad water ?
or shld the ibanez artcore be better?
sorry for being too vague.
Mods such as wad kind of pickup changes or bridge or tuners.
Using it maybe for a little jazz or blues ..
Might look for good cleans with reasonable overdriven sound.

no need to mod. I think the pups are pretty fine. Although it's abit hot for jazz players. I used to own it and used it for 2 pub gigs. Sounds fine. Really regret sold it off.

the Ibanez Artcore models are some ofthe best chinese production on offer- i keep (both) my artcore guitars mod-free, they sound superb as they are.
