Enquiry: 'Squier Tele Custom'

Hi, I'm very interested in getting one soon. May I know how much is the market price for a 2nd hand one? If you own/used to own one, would you mind sharing your experience with the rest of us, be it good or bad? Thanks.

If you don't know what guitar I'm talking about, here's a link to it(thanks Mr Subversion): http://soft.com.sg/forum/showthread.php?t=37271

Nut choke was a problem and also what disliked Mr Subversion when he did his review about the guitar. Do anyone else encountered the same problem too?

I think u shld make ur post topic clearer, i thought u were asking abt making a custom telecaster(think warmoth, USACG). So when u asked abt getting a 2nd hand, i was a little confused. I've tried this 1 b4 and i have to say, u'd get better value for money with this: http://www.standardvalue.com.sg/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=267

However, it has a single coil bridge and a lipstick pickup neck so the sound may not be like the dual humbucker equipped Squier. U can try installing single coil sized humbuckers, shldn't be a prob. And it's cheaper too.

I'm sorry for the misunderstandings that I've created here.

loldude333: So, should I buy the Custom Telecaster or the Timbre TL-18 you recommended? I'm looking to play Indie Rock music and maybe a little bit of Avenged Sevenfold's(metal? rock?) songs. Can I use the Timbre TL-18 to play them? Because I've checked with Mr Subversion and the Custom Telecaster fits the bill perfectly.

Subversion: My apologies, Sir.

Hmmmm..........well u can install single coil sized humbuckers if u wish or install hot, noise cancelling single coils(think Seymour Duncan Hotrails) or u can use a pickup booster. I recommend this booster, available here: http://www.standardvalue.com.sg/store/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=29
The pickup booster might be a better option, bcos u can get a hotter sound without having to change pickups. This allows u to get a nice tele twang on clean and with the pickup booster turned up, a hot, distorted tone suitable for A7X or metal. Subbie bro has installed a Seymour Duncan Hotrails onto his tele and it's his favourite 'metal guitar'.
