Enquiries on project building for starter

Hi all,

I'm intending to do a project guitar myself. With zero knowledge, i went on ebay to search for guitar parts and other guiter forums on how to build a guitar.... so here are some questions:

1) ebay is selling the EDEN body and neck for quite cheap... anyone has use them before? Any comment on them?? I think they are quite cheap so I won't feel so heart pain if i srew things up....

2) I saw on project guitar website on how to finish the guitar... but where can I find what I need?

3) Is there local stores that sell cheap body and neck for me to "play" ard??

Hi, Im doing something like a project too. I'm trying to give my first guitar a new life after years of isolation. You can get Eden body and neck from Standard Value. Finishing the guitar require skills. For best results, use an air brush if not, best to get a finished body.

if u want cheap strat body and neck, go davis, they selling at about 120 each only. (i dunno good or not tho). Am thinking of getting a neck and try scalloping.

Well, still, where should go to get painting supplies? like spray paint/lacquer for the guits?

just a caution, if you're getting necks from Eden at diyguitar or edenguitarparts or its franchise group, please prepare to wait for months for the necks to be delivered. Worse, the headstock will not be true fender shape and the heel is not radiused to strat bodies, without proper tools, it can be quite a pain to do up. I a personal painful experience on this.

If price is a constrain, ByLeft carries basswood bodies and selling cheap (under $100 I believe).
