Emg Flyod rose?

ahh .. shiiiit .... so my ibanez using flyod rose so i HAVE to get that pick up ?
other passives emg wont work with floyd rose ?

cause i wanna use passive :(

All HZ bridge models (Ceramic and Alnico versions) that feature pole pieces are available with Floyd Rose pole spacing of .410" (10.41mm) string to string. Simply put an "F" before the model name for Floyd Rose string spacing (F-H1A pickup).

you've got to use an F spaced one as their pole pieces are in line with the string spacings. if you use the normal passives your strings might be too far away from the pole pieces. actives dont have pole pieces if im not wrong and the whole pickup is like a huge pole piece (correct me if im wrong). and why not actives?

cause my other two single pick ups are passive then if i get the active one .. later switch to bridge pick up become louder than the passives then kinda weird

mixing passives and actives is possible but extremely troublesome..there's some complicated wiring and circuitry needed i believe.

dont worry too much about polepiece spacing, in practice it doesnt affect string balance/output issues, more for cosmetics.

EMGs do NOT work well in that guitar you now own, trust me on this. i'd say save the trouble and get a passive, dimarzio evolutions sounds really cutting in that guitar, and a bill lawrence XL500 absolutely rocked in there as well.

hey .. i went to dimarzo web and they recommended me the D activator bridge cause i want someting that can produce metal music sounds

well, i've had guitars that have floyds and use normal spaced pickups. no real issue, the only difference is the output on the high and low E string. most ppl cant hear the difference in output, but some can.

so its really personal preference when it comes down to this.

or get blade-type pole piece. defintiely no issue with spacing.
but then nto many pups have blade poles other than the few models out there.
